About
Our Produce Distribution
SNAC offers two options to receive fresh and local fruits, vegetables, and more each week on campus. The Good Food Box is a free weekly produce distribution program, with produce supplied by Terra Bella, a local, family-owned grocery distributor. Please note that the Good Food Box is available only to members of the McGill community (faculty, alumni, staff, etc.), especially those facing food insecurity.
We also offer a paid option through our partners at Marché SecondLife.
If you are a member of the McGill community (student, staff, alumni, etc), you can sign up for our FREE weekly Good Food Box here. Please note that we are only able to serve a limited number right now, as this is a pilot program.
WHEN: Mondays in ROOM 106 at the University Centre on McGill's downtown campus
HOW: Registration opens the Friday before at 12pm (see our Calendar). To sign up, please visit our calendar. Don't forget to bring your own tote bag!
WHY: In response to rising food prices on campus and the inaccessibility of healthy produce, our team spearheaded a mission to become a SSMU service in Winter 2023. With the Service designation, we can levy a small fee that has big impact.

A Lot of Good
Our supplier, Terra Bella, is a local, family-business and shares SNAC's values of sustainability, nutrition, and accessibility.
Our paid option is for students looking to save money, eat healthier, and support local initiatives. SNAC serves as a distribution point for Marché SecondLife, a company that works to rescue "ugly" food from local food systems.
You can find ordering instructions here or below. Please note that the minimum order value is $20 and the delivery fee is $1.99. Select the produce, grocery items, and pantry items you would like and pck them up from 1-3 pm on Mondays in Room 106 at the University Centre. Don't forget to bring your own tote bag!

A Little Bit of Good
Marché SecondLife is a Montreal-based company that provides misshapen and surplus inventory of fruits and vegetables. By buying from MSL, you can help reduce food waste since the produce would have otherwise been discarded. It's an excellent option for students to get affordable, nutritious, and sustainable food on campus.
