  • What's in the Good Food Box?
    The free Good Food Box will contain a mix of seasonal natural and organic fruits and vegetables from local farms. You are guaranteed at least 5 pieces of produce, but most weeks we have on average eight! In past semesters we have had (non-exhaustive, list changes each week): - Apples - Bananas - Pears - Persimmons - Carrots - Cucumbers - Lettuce - Garlic - Corn - Bok Choy - Celery - Zucchini - Sweet Potato - Lemons - Limes
  • How do I sign up for the Good Food Box?
    You can sign up on our website. Registration opens the Friday before the following Monday pickup.
  • Can I customize my Good Food Box?
    We will have a selection of 6-7 different fruits and vegetables for you to choose from. The selection will differ each week.
  • What days are pickups?
    Pickup will take place every Monday from 1 - 4pm at the University Centre, Rm. 106. We do not offer alternative pickups, so please remember to pick your box up.
  • How can I get involved?
    We are always looking for more volunteers! Message us on Instagram or Facebook to help with box distribution or sign up for one of our workshops!
  • How do I know if I am eligible for the Good Food Box?
    The Good Food Box is available to all members of the McGill community, including students, staff, and faculty, especially those facing food insecurity. Please note that we will never ask individuals for proof of income or food insecurity. If you need this program, it's for you.
  • How do I sign up for an MSL box?
    You can find signup instructions here or on our website. The signup for the Monday pickup will open the week before.
  • What's in the MSL box?
    Marche SecondLife offers a variety of products, specializing in "ugly" produce, which has been "rescued" from grocery stores or farms. They have recently expanded to offer other natural and organic produce, as well as a variety of pantry and fresh items.
  • Can I customize my MSL box?
    Yes. You will be given the option to customize your box three days before you are scheduled to pick it up. If you do not customize your box during that period, MSL will choose your items for you.
  • When do I pickup?
    Pickup will take place from 1-3pm at University Centre, Rm. 106. We do not offer alternative pickups, so please remember to pick your box up. Please remember to bring your own tote bag!
  • How do I suspend or cancel my subscription?
    You can set times to suspend your pickup on the MSL website under Personal Infos > Pause. If you would like to cancel your subscription, please email info@second-life.ca.
